About Us

Since 2002 we have been a registered charity, with a mission to help anyone who has difficulty using public transport get out and about. Our 5 wheelchair accessible vehicles provide community transport services in the Stafford area and beyond.

Our members can book transport for many different reasons, including medical appointments and shopping trips, to meet friends and family, and even to travel to their holiday destination.

As a registered charity, we take pride in always keeping fares as low as we can to make sure our dial-a-ride service is accessible to those that need it.

We also provide school transport to mainstream and SEND schools across the region, working with Stafford & Stoke on Trent Councils. Our minibuses are also available to hire to charities & not-for-profit organisations.

How we started

Stafford & District Voluntary services ran from 1974 until 2002, when Community Link Stafford assumed responsibility for local community transport. They had been providing a valuable transport service for individuals and groups to a variety of locations, including nursing homes and health providers. We still operate all of these services and we’ve also added new group services for recreational and social purposes.

Our service users

We have around 400 regular individual charity members, many of whom travel weekly, and becoming one of our members couldn’t be easier.

We also provide community transport services for not-for-profit groups across mid-Staffordshire, including the Stroke Association, the Katherine House Hospice and Age Concern.
